GDL Object Development

A computer modelling technology called GDL exists that allows a virtual version of almost any product, object or spatial entity to be created that is parametric (meaning they can have dimensions and features that can be manipulated). These objects can be inserted into computer plans or 3d model environments in either fully detailed or basic 2d form.

Spatial Directions is interested in developing GDL versions of products, prototypes or systems for individuals or companies who want to get their product out onto the CAD marketplace. These could be downloadable from the owners own web-site and would facilitate easy inclusion and specification in CAD plans for designers. Also facilitated would be future “roll-outs” of these prototypes / design systems over differing sites (e.g.. joinery for retail store fit outs).
